Mangaluru, Sep 5, 2015: Doing a post graduation at 73 and passing out in first class is no mean achievement at an age when many prefer to lead a leisurely retired life. Advocate and retired banker V. Mohan Rao who has achieved this feat, thanks to his sheer enthusiasm, dedication and above all a great interest in academic pursuit deserves a big round of applause from everyone.
An outstanding lawyer and a banker that he is, Mohan Rao has a Commerce Degree from Kerala University and a Degree in Law from Bangalore University. Rao has also completed his CAIIB. Rao had a very impressive career in the Bank of India and was serving as its Deputy Chief Manager at the time of his retirement. Later, he joined a legal firm in Bangalore, practiced as a High Court advocate and was on the panel of Advocates of Canara Bank.
Presently, based in Kundapur, Mohan Rao has over the years has also emerged a successful freelance writer. His articles have been published in Deccan Herald, Southern Economist and other leading dailies. He is also a regular contributor to Mangalore Today. His write-ups on general topics as well as legal and banking matters are widely read and appreciated.
