Nithish K IASMangaluru: To succeed in the UPSC exams is a great achievement and to be one among the Top 10 rank holders is simply an exemplary feat.

Meet engineering graduate Nitish K, the go-getter who has achieved his goal- to be on the Top-Ten of the IAS rank list, in his third attempt. That does not mean he was unsuccessful in his earlier two attempts. He missed a rank by just ten marks in his first attempt and then secured the 547th rank in his second attempt. But an undeterred Nitish attempted the third time and has finally made it.

Hailing from  Ambagilu, Nitish is the son of K Ramakrishna Hebbar, a banker and   Bharathi, a home maker. His father’s job took him to different places. After primary education in Udupi, Nitish studied in Navodaya School of Chitradurga. He did his engineering from the PES Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.

When the UPSC results were announced  Nitish was in Shimla  undergoing training at Indian Audit and Account Service Consistency and discipline is what contributes to success, says Nitish who does not forget to mention the support extended to him by his parents. My aim is to serve rural people, says this young man who is all set to be a promising IAS officer in the very near future.
