Mangaluru, August 5, 2019: One needs a fighting spirit to win tough competitions like Muay Thai and Mangaluru girl Anwitha Alva is an embodiment of courage, determination and a strong will power that has helped her excel in this field.
She has the rare honour of becoming the first person from Mangaluru to compete in a World Muay Thai Championship. That’s not all, she also won a bronze through her excellent performance in the 57 kg category at the event held at Bangkok under the aegis of International Federation of Muay Thai Amateur.
An engineering graduate from St Joseph’s Engineering College, Anwitha is the daughter of Jayaram Alva and Shubhavathi Shetty from Suratkal. A three time national champion in Muay Thai, Anwitha also has in her kitty many more medals which she won in state level events.
She is being trained at Monkey Mayhem Fight Club, Mangaluru under Nithesh Chandra Kumar.
