Chain snatcher arrested

Mangaluru, Oct 28, 2018: Police have arrested a person identified as Habib Hassan alias Habbi (39) hailing from Permannur in connection with chain snatching cases reported from the city.

Police have seized two mangalsutras and a gold chain worth nearly Rs 1.55 lakhs from him.  Meanwhile, police are on the lookout for his other accomplices.

Two chain snatching cases were reported from  Katipalla area last month  wherein three gold chains were stolen from two women.
