Udupi admin to collect flood relief materials.

Udupi : The Udupi district administration in association with Rotary Club Manipal Hills, MIT Rotaract Club and Social Work Programme PSPH MAHE, Manipal, will collect materials for rehabilitation centres in Kerala.

The materials will be dispatched by aircraft of Indian Coast Guard next week. The donors are expected to drop the items at the two collection centres. Used goods will not be accepted. All dresses should be unused.

The materials will be collected from August 18 to 20 between 9 am to 7 pm. The items which will be collected are bedsheets, sleeping mats, blankets, nighties, lungi, towel, undergarments, kids’ garments, packed food like rusk, biscuits, water, rice, sugar, salt, tea powder, pulses, ORS packets/ electrolytes, water purifying chlorine tablets, Dettol, mosquito repellents/ Odomos, antiseptic lotion, antifungal powder, bleaching powder/ lime powder, baby Diapers , adult diapers, sanitary napkins, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet soap, washing soap, candles, matchbox, school bag, notebooks, pencil box and pen.

The collection centres are Flood Relief Collection Centre at Rotary Hall near Manipal lake, Faculty Room, KMC College Office, Near Tiger Circle water fountain, Behind Manipal Bus stand, MAHE Manipal.
