Sullia: The life on the run of a person who married multiple times for gains has come to light. The news on Dinesh, a resident of Sullia has gone viral on social sites after he returned back home 22 years later. It is said that he is from Mandekoli.


Dinesh had first married in his hometown itself. Later, he left his wife and child, sold his property and went and resided in Kerala. It is being said that he has married at various location including Mangaluru, Bantwal, Puttur, Kerala and others.

Ten years ago he had attended a programme at the family temple and used to go around only in the car. It is said that he would visit Mandekoli once in a while. His family is oblivious of his history.

A few months back, some people from Mangaluru had come in search of him, but Dinesh managed to escape and never returned. It is being said that the family members do not know the people who had come seeking him and neither do they know why Dinesh fled.

A woman who was cheated by Dinesh got a clue that the accused was going to visit his house at Mondekoli, and hence she turned up there with a few companions 10 days back. She informed them that he had married and cheated on her and consequently ended up cheating with the family.

Even though the villagers assured her that the family had no contact with Dinesh, nonetheless, she verbally fought with the family. It is said that finally, the villagers were able to pacify her after much effort.


 It is being said that Dinesh used to marry only for money and to fulfil this, he used to target certain profile of women. He used to cheat the widows through the guise of providing shelter. He maintained multiple contact numbers through which he conducted his deceit with his many victims.

Making use of chivalry and his good looks, he used to push his victims into the pit of deceit, act the part of marriage and finally make away with their property and gold jewellery. There is information that he has duped a woman from Puttur off of Rs. 7 lakh.


The accused Dinesh had tried to sell his wife. It is said that he took her to Bengaluru and while she was changing her clothes, he locked to door of the lodge room and went out to get the buyers. Somehow she escaped from that fate, it is said.

Altogether, SP Ravikanthe Gowda and police commissioner T.R. Suresh has informed ‘Udayavani’ that if a complaint is given in regard to the case, investigation will be carried.
