’Best Employee Award’ for M’luru Met officer

Mangaluru: R J Vaz, Meteorologist  Officer In-charge of the Airport Meteorological Station at the Mangaluru International Airport, has been awarded with the Best Employee Award 2017-18 by the Ministry of Earth Sciences.

A press release said that Vaz will receive the award on July 27 on the Foundation Day function of Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi.

Vaz is with IMD since 1992.  The Aviation Meteorological Office of Mangalouru International Airport has been awarded with Best Aerodrome Meteorological Office in the country on January 15, on the 143rd foundation day of IMD. The met park at the airport has been upgraded to international standards.
