July 20 to 22, city to host ’Grameen Santhe’

The Grameena Santhe Okkootta will organise a three-day ‘Grameena Santhe’ in Mangaluru from July 20, Friday. Various rural delicacies and organic food products will be available at the fare.

Okkootta director Lainkaje Ramachandra told media that the festival would be inaugurated by Mangaluru North and South MLAs Y. Bharath Shetty and D. Vedavyasa Kamath in the presence of Inspector General of Police (Western Range) Arun Chakravarthi at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Pandeshwar,  at 11.30 a.m.

Expansion plans  :  The village festival will feature various rural food products from both Karnataka and Kerala. Home-made chocolates of Mangaluru and Aati food delicacies too will be available. The Okkootta plans to expand the festival to Udupi and Kundapur in the coming days,  Ramachandra said.
