BSNL officials stage protest

Mangalore, March 26: The Joint Forum of BSNL Associations and Unions of Executive and Non Executive organized a day-long protest on March 26, Friday. More than 12 executive and non executive officials of the Telecom District participated in this protest, which was staged in front of the BSNL office, Mangalore. 

They demanded settlement of ITS absorption issues, immediate procurement of mobile lines, and IDA Pension Reservation to retired BSNL employees. They also raised their voices against the privatization of BSNL, retrenchment, and outsourcing. 

S P Bhat, P Shridharan, Venugopal, and Muralidhara K S participated in the protest. The joint forum also decided to organize an indefinite national-level strike from April 20 to draw the attention of the central government to the issues bothering BSNL.
