Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, March 26: A second standard student of Little Flower School in Elinje, close to Kinnigoli, sustained injuries to his eyes, hands, and abdomen, when a television remote, which he was holding in his hands, exploded on March 25, Thursday.

The injured Akash is the son of Pushpa, who works as an Anganwadi teacher. He was just about to leave for school when the remote control exploded in his hands. While the remote control was completely smashed, the boy’s knickers were torn into shreds.

Pushpa’s husband, who works abroad, said that the remote control did not belong to the original company. It was purchased in Mangalore at a local electronic shop a few years ago. The television is more than 10 years old.

Dr. Bekal who is in-charge of the boy said that Akash is out of danger and recovering.
