Nitte students to visit Minnesota

Mangaluru, May 20, 2018: Master of Public Health students from Nitte (Deemed to be University) received their scholarships from the Public Health Institute in Minnesota, USA.

The fourth batch of Master of Public Health (MPH) students from Nitte will be attending the summer institute at School of Public Health, University of Minnesota, USA. Three MPH students will take up summer school for a 3-week period from May 21 to June 9.

Dr Sugandha B K, Dr Nivedita Laimayum and Sunila Dixit from Department of Public Health, K S Hegde Medical Academy received scholarships for global exposure in the field of public health where they will take on additional capacity building exercises like writing competitive grant proposals, project management, global food systems and use of technology in public health practice. 

Nitte has a MOU with University of Minnesota for student exchange programme where students from Nitte visit Minnesota during summer and Minnesota MPH students visit Mangaluru every winter.
