Karnataka Lalithkala Academy confers awards on deserving artists

Mangalore, March 26:The 39th annual art exhibition and prize distribution programme of Karnataka Lalithkala Academy, a state government owned organization, was held at Veerashaiva Kalyana Mantap at Raichur. 

MLC N Shankarappa inaugurated the exhibition. Sayyed Yasin, the MLA of Raichur, presided over the programme. K Shivanna Gowda, the minister of general education, library, and small savings, conferred the award on Udupi artists P N Acharya and Suresh D Halabavi, and Basavaraj L Jane of Gulbarga. 

Nadoja Dr J S Khanderao, the president of Lalithkala Academy; Padmavathi M Eranna, the president of Raichur Zilla Panchayat; senior artists, and others were present at the event.
