Mangaluru:  A release from the Principal  states,  NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, will organise its 8th edition of International Conference ‘ICETE-2018’ on emerging trends in engineering on May 14 and 15.

The international conference will be inaugurated by Prof Indrani Karunasagar, Director (R&D) at Nitte (Deemed to be University) and Director of Nitte Centre for Science Education and Research (N-CSER). Dr Satoshi Soda, Professor in the Department of Environmental Systems Engineering, Dr Kazuhiro Shimonomura, Professor in the Department of Robotics and Dr Lin Meng, Lecturer in the Dept of Electronic and Computer Engineering at Ritsumeikan University Japan will be the guests of honour. N Vinaya Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte (Deemed to be University) and President of Nitte Education Trust will preside over the function. Dr Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal of the Institute, Dr I R Mithanthaya, Vice Principal will be present.

“The conference committee has shortlisted 110 research papers for presentation during the event, of which, 29 presentations are from external participants and 81 are internal participants. MTech students will be exhibiting their technical findings in the form of models and a compendium will be released during the event,”
