Seven held for selling fake pearls

Mangaluru, April 22, 2018: The CCB sleuths arrested seven persons who were trying to sell fake pearls in a seashell.

According to DCP Uma Prashanth, the arrested are Mohammed Mansoor (27) of Kodibettu, Ibrahim (25) of Badagulipadi, Mohammed Muktar (19) of Harekala, Mohammed Naushad of Kolavooru, Ismail (40) of Nelyadi, V K George (35) of Nelyadi, and Dinesh (29) of Attepadavu.

They had been trying to sell the pearls at Kuntikana. Acting on a tip-off, the sleuths arrested them and seized two cars, a two-wheeler, eight mobile phones, and fake pearls.

CCB inspector K Srinivas, Sub Inspector Shyam Sundar and H D Kabbal Raj were part of the raid.
