Kasargod resident arrested with ganja at Sharjah

Kasargod, April 22, 2018: A resident of Vidyanagar near Kasargod was arrested at the Sharjah International Airport for possessing ganja.  Aboobakar Siddique, the arrested, said that on April 3, when he left for Sharjah from Kasargod, his friends gave him a packet, saying that it had sweets, and asked him to hand it over to their relatives outside the Sharjah airport. Aboobakar took the packet in good faith.

When the customs officials at the airport checked, Aboobakar was found with a packet of drugs. On learning of Aboobakar’s imprisonment, his father Mohammed submitted a complaint to the superintendent of police against his son’s friends. Vidyanagar police have filed a case and taken up an investigation.
