Bantwal ARTO office gets it’s own data base.

Apr 09, 2018: Data of vehicles having residential addresses of Bantwal and Belthanagady taluks have been transferred from the regional transport offices in Mangaluru and Puttur, respectively, to the office of Assistant Regional Transport Officer in Bantwal.

This is after adopting Vahan 4 software in Mangaluru, Puttur and Bantwal offices.

Hence owners of such vehicles from Bantwal and Belthangady taluks would have to contact the office of ARTO in Bantwal for any correspondence and office works related to their vehicles.

A release from the office of Deputy Commissioner Transport and Senior Regional Transport Officer, Mangaluru said that there are some initial hiccups in the operation of software. People would have to cooperate till the operations are streamlined.

There are issues relating to e-payment for obtaining fitness certificate, renewals and obtaining route permit. People will have to pay the tax in demand draft till then, the release said.
