Tharoor to be chief guest at MU’s 28th convocation




Konaje, March 25: Mangalore University’s 28th convocation, which is scheduled for April 6, will be a record event. The university will be organizing its convocation in April for the second time in its history, having held its third convocation on April 4 in 1985. 


Registrar K Chinnappa Gowda said that Shashi Tharoor, the union minister of state for external affairs, will be the chief guest at the convocation.


Governor H R Bharadwaj, the chancellor of all universities in the state, will preside. Aravind Limbavalli, the minister for higher education and pro chancellor, will also attend the programme.
