Two ASSOCHAM awards for Corpn. Bank

Mangaluru: Corporation Bank achieved the winner award under Best Social Bank and joint runner-up award under Priority Sector Lending for Large Bank class category for 2017 instituted by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).

Bank General Manager U. Chandrakant Nayak received the award from Union Minister of State for Finance Shiv Pratap Shukla during the 13th Annual Banking Summit-cum-Social Banking Excellence Awards 2017 at Mumbai on Saturday, said a release from the Bank.

ASSOCHAM has initiated its endeavour of value creation for the Indian industry since 1920 and has in its fold more than 300 Chambers and Trade Associations serving more than 4 lakh members right now.

ASSOCHAM Social Banking Excellence Awards, 2017, is a way to recognize, reward and celebrate models of inclusive growth and sustainable development as well as innovative approach in creating values for society and Business together.

The evaluation is based on the banks’ performance in creating a fundamentally strong and resilient social bank.
