Ranga Habba in Udupi from today

Udupi, Feb 11, 2018: Sumanasa Samsthe, Kodavoor, is set to hold  ‘Ranga Habba’ at open theatre of Bhujanga Park in Udupi from February 11 to 17. Speaking to reporters recently, honorary president M S Bhat said that the first Ranga Habba was organised in 2013. After receiving a good response from the public, it became a yearly affair.

Actor-Director Prakash Belawadi will inaugurate the festival, District In-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj and CMC president Meenakshi Madhava Bannanje will be the chief guests.

Sudha Manooru, Prakash Kunjibettu, Cheluvaraj Perampalli, Shantharam Acharya, Bhaskar Kanchar and P Prabhakar Kalyani who have made mark in the field of theatre will be felicitated.

Writer Ambathanaya Mudradi will be felicitated with Yakshaguru late U Duggappa Memorial Award. A programme under the title ‘Anavarana’ will be organised.  The college students will have mono act competition.

President Prakash G Kodavooru, vice president Ganesh Rao and others were present.

February 16 — Chitrapata Ramayana directed by Bannanje Sanjeev Suvarna
and February 17— Gokula Nirgamana by Viddu Uchil.
