3 arrested for sending false sms regarding Kazi’s death

Mangalore, Mar 19: Three people stand accused of spreading false rumours about the death of late Mangalore Kazi C M Abdullah. The intelligence wing has commenced its investigations into the matter. 

Text messages were circulated in Dakshina Kannada district stating that the Kazi was murdered. One sms accused the Moulvi of belonging to another sect of the same community. The police found out that the message originated from the mobile of a I PUC student of Bandichali. 

Under interrogation, the student revealed the names of two more persons in Bovikkana and the police have launched a man hunt for them. 

The police have also issued a statement that no arrests have been made so far with regard to the Kazi’s death.
