Man arrested on sexual harassment charge

Bantwal, Feb 20, 2017: The Bantwal police on Sunday arrested a man on the charge of sexual harassing a six-year-old girl.

According to the police, the girl was living with her mother in a house adjoining the accused Hameed’s house. The girl’s father works abroad. The girl regularly visited Hameed’s house.

Few days ago, girl’s father returned home and he heard from his wife of his daughter being sexually harassed by Hameed. On a complaint by girl’s mother, the Bantwal police registered a case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and arrested Hameed.
