Shirtady William Pinto is Head of Legal Aid & Services Cell

Udupi, March 16: A senior advocate and Rajyothsava award winner, Shirtady William Pinto has been nominated as the head of the legal aid and service cell of the district unit of the Indian Red Cross (IRC).

Shirtady is nominated for three years from now. The legal aid and service cell is mainly aimed at educating, the rural people.

It also works for suppressed and oppressed section of the society, which includes students of schools and colleges. It educates on basic laws, consumers’ rights, human rights etc.
