Two chain-snatchers in police net

Mangaluru, Jan 14, 2017: Dakshina Kannada Police on jan 13, Friday arrested two chain- snatchers and recovered valuables and a bike worth Rs 1.9 lakh from them.

The arrested persons were named as, Kiran,24, a resident of Manjeshwar and Ahmed PK,25, a resident of Calicut district in Kerala. The duo had snatched mangalsutra of Kamalakshi S Mayya at around 6.45pm on October 5 near Kaikunje in Bantwal taluk. They had come in a bike. Police who started investigating the case arrested Kiran and Ahmed. During investigation they revealed that on the same day they made a futile attempt to snatch mangalsutra of another woman in Neermarga.
