NSS volunteers motivated to be selfless and serve society too

Mangaluru, Jan 11, 2017: Speaking at the valedictory programme of the seven-day special NSS camp organised by Besant Evening College, Mangaluru, at the Government High School premises at Pavoor near Inoli. Shyam Sundar Kamath, secretary, Women’s National Education Society reiterated that social services carried out as part of NSS help students become responsible citizens and help the nation. 

Besant Women’s College correspondent Devanand Pai also advised the volunteers to work selflessly for the betterment of society.

Various activities like health awareness, land levelling for developing garden, cleaning of the campus premises, village survey, yoga camps, awareness on water conservation, effects of plastic use, cultural and literary programmes, etc, were organised by the NSS volunteers.

NSS officer Beedubail Prof Ganapathi Bhat presented the annual report. Principal Dr Laxminarayana Bhat, GP member Rubina Lewis, SKDGY, Konaje supervisor Reshma, NSS secretary Savitha and educationist Shankaranand Inavalli were present amidst the many NSS
