B Pundalik Marathe is member of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy

Udupi, March 13: B Pundalik Marathe, a teacher in St Josephs School, Belman, has been appointed as the member of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy.

An active member of Vishwa Konkani Sammelan held at Mangalore in 1995, Pundalika’s contribution to Konkani literature is immense. He was a member of Konkani text book compiling committee for tenth std from 2005-06. His contribution to education, culture, literature and social work is also wide.

Besides winning the Aryabhatta-2005, marathe also bagged state award for the best teacher.
