Corp Bank, TOLIC togethr organise linguistic harmony day

Mangaluru, Sep 22, 2016: Corporation Bank and TOLIC, Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Mangaluru jointly organized Linguistic Harmony Day on Sept 22, Wednesday. Jai Kumar Garg, chairman, TOLIC and MD and CEO, Corporation Bank who presided and distributed prizes to winners of various Hindi incentive schemes in vogue at the Bank said Hindi plays the pivotal role of a link language of India and banks are implementing various social security schemes through Hindi.

Sunil Mehta, executive director of the Bank stressed on the importance of regional languages and to promote Hindi giving due importance to all Indian languages as well. The union government has taken several initiatives which have facilitated use of Hindi on computers. Exhorting staff to use official language Hindi in their day-to-day official work, Sunil Mehta also read out the message of Rajnath Singh, union minister for home affairs on the occasion of Hindi Day.

Gopal Murali Bhagat, executive director of the Bank observed that best way to celebrate Hindi Day is to use official language in our work. More than constitutional obligation, it is a necessity for any service or manufacturing organisation to use the language of the masses to penetrate into the market. He also highlighted the provision of Indian constitution wherein the need to enrich vocabulary by assimilating generally used words in all languages on a day to day use.
