Business establishments must renew trade licenses: MCC

Mangalore, March 5: Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) has ordered all business establishments in Mangalore to renew their trade license for 2010 - 11 before March 10.  

Commissioner K N Vijaya Prakash issued a press release, in which he has stated that all business establishments must submit their application forms along with the relevant documents within a week, failing which the civic body will initiate legal action.  

The health officer of MCC issued a separate press release in which he has appealed to the public not to consume cut fruits, fast food, Pani Puri, cold drinks, and snacks sold in open carts beside the road. The release further stated that this could help control epidemics such as malaria, cholera, and filariasis that are common in summer. Hotels have been ordered to provide boiled and cooled water for drinking purposes, the release stated.
