Indian artiste performs in United Kingdom

Mangaluru, May 25, 2016: Addressing media Dance exponent Dr Srividya Muralidhar  said ’Bharatanatyam with a New Focus’, a book written by her was released at a programme organised by the Nehru Centre of the Cultural wing of Indian High Commissioner of the UK on recently. Centre Assistant Director Vibha Mehderita released the book, she added.

Kalakshetra (Chennai) senior dance artiste Anusha Balasubrahmanyam, London, YMCA University Dean Maxim Green attended the programme. Ayu Publications, New Delhi, has published the work, she said.

She said a Guruvandana programme was conducted in honour of her Guru K Muralidhar Rao at the centre. A documentary, ’A tribute to the dancing legend - Sri Muralidhar Rao’, was screened on the occasion, she added.

Workshops on Bharatanatya were conducted at Southend on sea, St Paul Church Auditorium Liverpool street, Manchester, Burmingham and other places.  Srividya was one of the jury at Miss and Mrs Kerala Europe beauty pageants.

Dance exponent Dr Srividya Muralidhar  said she has conducted workshops and also performed at various places during her tour to the United Kingdom.
