State Government Release Fund for Road Repairs

Belthangady, Nov 2: A sum of Rs. 20 crores has been sanctioned by the state government for the repair of roads in the taluk of Belthangady and the town of Ujire in preparation for the Vishwa Tulu Sammelan 2009, which will be organized in December 2009. 

Reliable sources informed press people that Dharmadikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Shri Veerendra Heggade had suggested to District-in-charge Minister Krishan J Palemar that the state government must sanction the money for road repairs. 

Rs 16.1 crores will be spent on repairing roads in Belthangady while the remaining amount of Rs 3 crores will be send to Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to repair roads that come under the Zilla Panchayat. 

Harish Kumar, the president of the block congress; Shahool Hameed, the member of the Zilla Panchayat; Eshwar Bhat, the member of the Taluk Panchayat; Sebastian; and Chandu L were also present at the press conference.
