Mass pocession and protest by Tailor’s association

Mangalore, March 1: Demanding various rights and proper funds for the welfare of tailors, Dakshina Kannada unit of Karnataka State Tailors’ Association conducted a mass protest against the government in front of the DC office on March 1.

 

 

 

 

A huge procession was took place from Shanti Nilaya ground, Balmatta, before holding protest at DC office. More than five hundred tailors took part in the procession as well as protest.

The protesters raised the problems faced by the tailors like accommodation, children’s education, medical treatment. And also they demanded to reserve sufficient fund in coming 2010-11 budget for the welfare. A MOU in this regard has been handed over to DC on this occasion.
