Train services regulated for replacing girders on railway bridge

Mangaluru, Feb 5, 2016: As per a media information note,  work on replacing girders of railway bridge on ’B’ line between Kanjikode and Walayar stations will be taken up from three days on February 6, 8 and 10. In view of this, train services on this route will be regulated as under: Service of train 56650/56651 Kannur - Coimbatore - Kannur passenger will be partially cancelled between Palakkad and Coimbatore, a press release from the Palakkad division of Southern Railways stated.

n other words, service of train 56650 Kannur-Coimbatore passenger will terminate at Palakkad junction while service of train 56651 Coimbatore-Kannur passenger will originate from Palakkad Junction on these three days. Since all train services will have to be routed through ’A’ line of this section, a general delay of 15 to 25 minutes is expected for each train service passing through Kanjikode-Walayar section, on these three days.
