Stone Pelting incidents reported in many areas in Mangalore

Mangalore, Feb 24: Unknown mischief-mongers went on a stone-pelting spree at five separate places in Mangalore. A college building as well as four cars parked in front of different houses was damaged. The police department is now worried about the possible disruption to normal life in Mangalore. 

These incidents came to light late in the evening of Feb 23, Tuesday. A stone was thrown at a  car belonging to Vaseem, of Kodialbail was damaged. 

Another car belonging to Shrinivas Pai, parked in front of his house in Barke, was also damaged. A car parked in Bhoj Rao Lane, Alake, and another parked in Matadakani were also pelted with stones. In the Matadakani case, even the window panes of the house were shattered. 

The police feel that the purpose of the stone pelting is to destroy the law and order situation in the city and to create tension.
