Suratkal Sharks win Property-MPL Cup

Mangalore, Feb 23: The Property-MPL Cup was won by Suratkal Sharks, who beat Bedra Bulls in the finals of the Mangalore Premiere League T-20 tournament, which was held on NMPT Ground on Feb 22, Monday. The Man of the Series was Suratkal Sharks player Deepak Chowgule. 

Mangalore Sports Club, affiliated to the Karnataka State Cricket Association, and Mangala Sports Private Limited, organized the Property-MPL tournament. The event was sponsored by Property Real Estate and Developers. 

Managing Director of Property Real Estate and Developers Rohan Monteiro presented the MPL Cup and honored the winners. 

Yogaraj Bhat, the renowned Kannada film director; Diganth, the actor; Ramachandra Baikampady, the chairman of Karnataka Fisheries Development Corporation; and several other guests honored the winners and runners-up of the finals. 

The tournament was organized with the purpose of encouraging budding cricketers in DK and its surrounding areas. The event, which commenced on Feb 14, comprised 18 matches played between 6 teams. The public response was overwhelming.
