Street play to educate the people on AIDS was enacted near the bus stand in Moodubelle.

Moodubelle, 20 February 2010: A street play to educate the people on Acquired Immunity Deficiency Syndrom (AIDS) was enacted near the bus stand in Moodubelle on Friday, 19th February 2010 at 5pm. The Raga Ranjani Kala Sangha of Mandya enacted the play educating the people how AIDS is caused, what are its effects and how it can be controlled and prevented. A large number of people in Moodubelle pethe witnessed this street play.

 

 

 

 


The AIDS awarenss campaign has been organised in different parts of the Udupi district jointly by Health and Family Welfare Directorate, Bangalore, Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society, Populations Services International, Mangalore and Udupi Zilla Aids Prevention and Control Unit. Mr. Abhilash Philips of Populations Services International is instrumental in the AIDS awareness campaign in Mangalore and Udupi Districts.
The street play has been already held at Kadekar, Udyavara and Katapadi. After Moodubelle it will be held at Shirva on 20th February 2010.
