Builder accused of threat to a group

Mangaluru, Sep 3,2015 : As per local reporrts, a builder said to be close to a Union Minister, has been accused of sporting a pistol and threatening a group that was surveying land near his property.   The builder in turn has accused the group of venturing into his property and assaulting him.    The incident it is said  occurred in Padushedde village in Bondel September 2.

According to a complaint filed by Vijayprasad Alva, the Executive Director of Human Rights Federation of India, he had joined Surveyor Prashant in the survey of land belonging to Thukaram Shetty.   This land measuring 2.2 acres was adjoining to the property of Shankar Shetty, who had agreed to sell the land to Rai Estate and Builders owned by Ashok Kumar Rai.   While carrying out the survey procedures, Rai came with a few men and reportedly objected to the work.   When  Alva questioned  Rai, he allegedly hit him and then threatened him  pointing a pistol.

Countering this complaint,  Rai has filed a compliant accusing  Alva and his men of assaulting him when he had questioned the trespass of  Rai and the surveyor into the land.
