RTA meeting on August 1

Mangaluru, July 29, 2015 :  As per reports a meeting of the  RTA - Road Transport Authority headed by DK DC Adoor.B. Ibrahim will be held on August 1,  to consider applications for issuing permits to run city bus services in Mangaluru by KSRTC under the JNNURM (Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission).

District in-charge Minister B. Ramanath Rai was informed that there were 35 applications pending with the authority seeking permits for buses on 17 routes where people were facing hardship because of fewer private city buses.  The RTA meeting was being postponed since April for one reason or the other.   DC Ibrahim said that a meeting has been called for on August 1.
