50 BP gas cylinders seized in Falnir.

Mangaluru, June 26, 2015: A team of the Department of Food and Civil Supplies, led by Assistant Director Sunanda, seized nearly 50 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders, allegedly stocked illegally near Kudumbi Garden, off the busy Falnir Road.  Asst Dir. Sunanda said, the raid was conducted after the residents complained that illegal sale of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders was on for long.  When the official team visited the place, several domestic LPG cylinders were found and  few cylinders were loaded in a vehicle.

These cylinders had the seal of Bharat Petroleum and there was nobody to protect the cylinders. The team had seized 40 domestic and 12 commercial LPG cylinders. Four of the 52 cylinders were empty.    BPCL officials would be questioned about the seized cylinders.
