KSRTC staff assaulted, bus stoned after accident

Mangaluru, April 16, 2015 : A group of 10 persons reportedly threw stones on a KSRTC bus bound for the city after it was involved in a road accident with a motorcycle near Nagori on Wednesday.

According to Mangaluru Rural Police, the KSRTC bus was on its way from Dharmasthala to Mangaluru. At Nagori, the bus was hit by a motorcycle bound for Padil at around 10 a.m. Passersby shifted the injured motorcyclist and the pillion rider to a hospital.

However, the irate group of 10 persons started throwing stones on the KSRTC bus forcing the passengers to flee for safety.

The group reportedly assaulted bus conductor Ramesh.

The group fled the pace as the police arrived on the spot.

The bus driver Krishnappa has filed a complaint accusing the group of assaulting his colleague and also obstructing a government servant from discharging his duty.
