Cross-country run, March 7.

Udupi :  A press release issued states  Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), a part  of Manipal University, will organise a cross-country run as part of its sports and cultural fest titled "Revels"  here on March 7.  It said that this run is also part of a series of events being organised under SAHIL, the social arm of "Revels".

The race will start from Kamath Circle at 6 p.m. For men, the distance will be six kilometres and for women it will be four kilometres. The top four finishers will represent MIT in the Revels competition to be held next week.

The event  is conducted in association with MARD - Men Against Rape and Discrimination (a campaign that aims to raise social awareness against rape and discrimination of women) - and is open to all students of Manipal University.    Last year, nearly 700 students had participated in race.
