Nrityaangan to present Navarasa in city on Nov 23

Mangaluru, Nov 22, 2014: Nrityaangan, Mangalore will organize a cultural event “Navarasa” (the nine emotions)at the Canara Girls High School Campus, Dongerkery, Mangalore on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 6:00 PM.

The programme will begin with an introduction to Navarasa by Smt. Manjula Subrahmanya. Presentation of Navarasa involves Navarasa in Ramayana as composed by Late Shri Srinivas Udupa.

After many successful solo performances in various venues in India and in the USA, Smt Radhika Shetty will be enthralling audiences in Mangalore, with this 60-minute solo dance production in Bharatanatyam style. In the orchestra ensemble, Smt. Aparna Sharma on Nattuvangam, Sri Nandakumar Unnikrishnan (Bangalore) on Vocals, Sri Janardhana Rao (Bangalore) on the Mridangam, Smt. Suma Rani (Bangalore) on the Sitar and Sri Nithish Ammannaya as the flautist.
