Fisher folk rescued

Baindur, Sep 15, 2014:  A fishing boat capsized when it hit sand dunes at the estuary in Gangolli while returning from fishing on September 14. Five fishermen who were on board of ‘Panchajanya’ mechanised boat were rescued by other fishermen. The boat is owned by Kushala Mogaveera of Kodi.

Those who were rescued are Mahabala, Annappa, Sathisha, Krishna and Narayana. The boat was pulled to the shore later. This is a routine occurance in rough weather and winds.
