Student ends life

Udupi, Aug 01 2014: A 17-year-old boy from a college in Karkala in Udupi district was found hanging from the roof of his hostel room on Sunday.

The Karkala police said Vasant Gowda, a student of Jnana Sudha College, was staying in a hostel in Ganganagar. The police have found a note purportedly written by the student stating that he was sad over his performance in an examination. The police are waiting for arrival of Vasant’s parents, who are residents of Channarayapatna, to Karkala.
