Search for kith and kin of two children

Shimoga, July 31, 2014:  Media has been informed by the office bearers of Spoorthi Dhama, an orphanage and children rehabilitation centre, located at Belur in Kundapur has appealed for help in its attempt to search the parents of the two inmates who were found in Shimoga and Udupi railway stations respectively.

 Spoorthi Dhama CEO Dr Keshav Koteshwar said a three-year-old boy named Venkatesh (Dugga) was spotted in Shimoga bus stop, three and half months ago. He was brought to Surabhi, a children rehabilitation centre in Shimoga. Later, the child was produced before Shimoga district Child Welfare Committee and was shifted to Spoorthi Dhama in Belur. His father’s name is said to be ’Nagaraj’.

The other boy is six-yearold Farooq, who was rescued from Udupi railway station platform on June 4. He was handed over to Labour Inspector Ravi Kumar and finally he was sent to Spoorthi Dhama for rehabilitation. The boy was produced before Udupi District Child Welfare Committee on June 26. The boy is from Indi in Bijapur and his parents names are  ’Babu and Rejina’, it is gathered  the CEO added.
