Fr Muller Homeopathic Medical College inaugurates Prerana 2010

Mangalore, Jan 28: Rev Fr Clement Mascarenhas, the principal of St Sebastian High School and PU College, Permannoor, inaugurated Prerana 2010, a 3-day inter-collegiate cultural and literary competition hosted by Fr Muller Homeopathic Medical College as part of its silver jubilee celebrations.

Fr. Mascarenhas, the chief guest of the programme, urged students to develop their talents and use the college as a platform for healthy interaction with one another.

Rev Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, the administrator of Fr. Muller Homeopathic Medical College Hospital; Dr. Srinath Rao, the principal; Dr. Shivaprasad K, the vice principal and organizing secretary of the silver jubilee celebrations; and Dr. Jyotsna, the convener of Prerana 2010 were the dignitaries on the dais.

Dr. Srinath Rao made the welcome speech; and Dr. Jyoshna S proposed the vote of thanks.

An essay writing competition was conducted after the inaugural function. About 30 participants from 14 colleges in Mangalore participated in this competition.

On Jan 29, the second day of Prerana, an inter-collegiate quiz competition will be organized. On Jan 30, an intercollegiate singing competition will be held for students of pre-university colleges.
