Loans for economically backward people under Namma Mane

Mangalore, Jan 20: The Housing and Public Welfare Department of the central government has decided to provide loans in the range of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.6 lakhs to economically backward people as part of project Namma Mane. 

Families with a maximum monthly income of Rs 3,300 are considered to be economically backward. Low-income families are those that have a monthly income of Rs 3,301 - Rs 7,300. 
The mayor issued a press release, stating that economically backward families will receive a loan of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.6 lakh. These loans can be repaid in 15 - 20 years. Low income families will be provided with a loan of Rs 1.6 lakh.
