VHP and Bajarang Dal Urge Government to Crush Love Jihad

28 October 2009

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajarang Dal said that Hindu organizations will not tolerate activities such as Love Jihad. The 2 organizations promised their staunch support to society as well as various authorities to check the activities of this shady organization. They urged the government to form special squads to crush this movement in the bud.

Sharan Pumpwell, the convener of Bajarang Dal, and Jagadish Shenava, the vice president of VHP, said that organizations such as Love Jihad, if not curbed and eliminated at the early stages, are capable of creating all types of social problems. They warned parents and managements of educational institutions against Love Jihad since most cases of Love Jihad are reported from schools, colleges, and commercial establishments. Love Jihadis are known to target women and girls in colleges, hostels, paying guests, and pubs. Most of them use cyber cafes and mobile phone shops.

They requested the district administration to take action against Love Jihad as early as possible and warned parents and caregivers to protect their daughters so that they do not get trapped by Love Jihadis.
