Road work must be quickly completed: Palemar

Mangalore, Jan 4: During a meeting of municipality members on Jan 2, Saturday, District-in-charge Minister Krishna J Palemar said that all road-related projects must be completed at the earliest possible. 

He also said that he would make a list of every problem in the wards and facilitate easy tackling of the problems. He said that the municipality’s control room should answer all the queries of the public. 

Harinath, the leader of the opposition, spoke about the problems that have arisen because of the new CDP. He said that, although 1000 people have applied for housing licenses, the licenses have not yet been issued. In fact, the work of issuing licenses commenced only after the minister visited the municipality office yesterday. Balakrishna Gowda, one of the officers, remarked that licenses are issued only to those who come within the law. 

Shashidhar Hegde, Jayanthi, Naveen D’Souza, James D’Souza, Roopa, Madhukiran, Sudhir Shetty, and many others voiced their opinions during the meeting. Rajani Dugganna, the deputy mayor; Shankar Bhat, the mayor; and Dr. Vijay Prakash, the commissioner, were among those present.
