3,109th Bank of India branch inaugurated in Moodubidri

Moodbidri, Dec 29: Shree Bhattaraka Charukeerthi Pandithacharyavarya Swamiji of the Shree Jain Mutt inaugurated the 3,109th branch of the Bank of India at Canara Furniture Building, Moodubidri, on Dec 27, Sunday. 

In his inaugural speech, he said that banking is based on the element of trust. Since the Indian banking system stands on a strong foundation of trust and faith, it is very strong in India, he said. 

Fr. Austin Peter Peris, parish priest of Moodubidri, presided over the programme. 

M Narendra Kumar, the executive director, said that 4 abhaya centres have been established for economical management. Abhaya centres will be established in Dharmasthala and Belgaum too.

MLA K Abhayachandra; K Amarnath Shetty, the former minister; Dr M Mohan Alva, the president of Alva’s Education Foundation; and Bhoja Kotian, the president of Moodubidri Town Hall were the chief guests.
