Tulu drama competition commences at MGM College

Udupi, Dec 28: Parameshwar Udupa, the assistant general manager of Syndicate Bank, inaugurated the Tulu drama competition jointly organized by the Manipal Academy, Udupi Tulu Koota, and MGM College at Muddana Mantap of MGM College on Dec 25. 

This competition has been successfully organized for the past 8 years for the Kemtur Drama Award instituted in honor of the late Kemtur Doddanna Shetty. 

Various teams will stage their plays at 6:30 p.m. daily till Dec 30. The prize distribution programme will be organized on Jan 10, 2010. 

Dr. Bhaskarananda Kumar, the president of the Tulu Koota, presided over the programme. Vijay Kumar Shetty, the son of late Doddanna Shetty was also present at the inauguration programme.
