Gas leak causes fire, 2 cars completely burned

Mangalore, December 10: Two vehicles parked in a parking space beneath a house in Bikarnakatte, Mangalore, were completely burned down, on Dec 10, Thursday, at 10:45 a.m.

The fire is believed to have been caused by a gas leak in the Maruti Omni car. The gas cylinder soon caught fire, which rapidly spread to a Maruti Alto parked nearby. The flames were soon doused by the fire brigade, but not soon enough to save the vehicles, which were reduced to mere skeletons. 

The concrete walls of the house were charred black, and thanks to the timely arrival of the fire brigade, the house was saved from burning down.
